- Modeling of chemical reactions in combination with species transport in solids (current focus is on oxidation processes and the formation of oxide layers)
- Thermo-mechanical modeling of shape memory alloys at crystal level with explicit consideration of transformation systems for finite deformations
- Mechanical simulations using FEM for strength assessment and service life estimation
