Mathematik in Wirtschaft, Engineering und Informatik
Mathematics is the most important science of the 21st century. Economics, engineering and computer science would be unthinkable without it. Mathematics is both a language for describing relationships and processes and a huge collection of methods for analysing and optimising them.
The mathematics degree programme at ³Ô¹ÏÍø is very practice-oriented and aims to qualify graduates in one of the application areas of economics, engineering or computer science to such an extent that, in combination with the mathematical know-how and abstraction skills taught in the mathematics section, they have excellent opportunities in business.
The Master's degree programme in Mathematics in Business, Engineering and Computer Science at ³Ô¹ÏÍø is extremely flexible. Only two of the modules to be taken are fixed. This enables all students to coordinate their maths modules and application modules in the best possible way. In contrast to most other universities, the ratio between maths and application subjects is not fixed. This allows students who are interested to focus strongly on one of the application subjects with a corresponding reduction in the mathematics component, but also to study mathematical content in depth with a corresponding reduction in the application component. This desired focus can be adjusted at any time during the degree programme.
The great flexibility of the degree programme goes hand in hand with competent and individual support. The professors and student representatives are in close contact with all students from the start of the programme.
