Behavioural Research Lab

The Behavioural Research Lab is a research hub for conducting empirical studies in the behavioural sciences. It was founded by Professor Leischnig and Professor Stumpf-Wollersheim and is available to all scientists at TU Bergakademie Freiberg for conducting studies. The lab has state-of-the-art equipment and a flexible design for online or offline-based individual or group studies. It is located on campus in the . Projects

FioKo: Promotion of women through individual and organisational skills in education and careers (MINT)

  • Project website: to follow
  • In cooperation with the Chair of Entrepreneurship and Business Taxation of Prof. Sopp
  • Project duration: 2023-2024
  • Contact: Prof. Dr. Jutta Stumpf-Wollersheim, Meike Scholz
. Sopp
  • Project duration: 2023-2024
  • Contact persons: Prof. Dr Jutta Stumpf-Wollersheim, Meike Scholz
  • The project aims to expand the recruitment and qualification potential of women, especially in the future-oriented and economically highly relevant STEM fields. The promotion of women for companies in the STEM sector is to be simplified, with the aim of achieving equal opportunities for the sexes. In order to achieve this, collaborations are planned with (vocational) schools, companies in the STEM sector and mentoring and coaching networks, among others.

In addition to TU Bergakademie Freiberg, the following universities are involved in the junior research group: TU Dresden, Hochschule Mittweida and Hochschule Zittau/Görlitz.

    AI in customer interactions

Aim: Development of a decision-making tool for planning, implementing and measuring the success of AI applications in customer interactions at small and medium-sized enterprises

    • project website
    • in cooperation with the Chair of Strategy and Organisation of Ms Isabell Welpe at the Technical University of Munich
    • Project duration: 2023-2024
    • Contact person: Prof. Dr Jutta Stumpf-Wollersheim, Tim Kanis

The research project will investigate how artificial intelligence (AI) applications can be used and implemented in various customer interactions by small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) so that they are accepted by employees and customers, reduce the workload of employees and deliver sustainable added value for SMEs, customers and society. The research project also aims to define criteria that make the use and success of AI in customer interactions measurable. The project focuses on the opportunities offered by the automation of customer interactions and the associated customer centricity through AI.

The insights gained will be made accessible in a barrier-free, individualised and easily understandable way through a web-based IT demonstrator to aid decision-making in practice.
