ECXXOR: Extreme Conditions X-ray Raman, X-ray Emission and Optical Raman Spectroscopy @ the Extremely Brilliant Source

  • The ECXXOR project aims to implement a combined setup at the ID20 beamline at the ESRF to study matter at extreme conditions. 
  • The existing X-ray Raman scattering (XRS) spectrometer will be combined with a CO2 laser, laser-heated diamond anvil cells (LH-DACs) and optical Raman spectroscopy to access information of local- and intermediate-range structures, as well as electronic properties of disordered matter, not accessible by other methods.
